Facility: Christian Church Building of Pastor Peter Students Attending: 20 (plus other believers) Teacher: Pastor Sadhu Sundar Singh Lesson Topic: Perfect Body Unity Principle Scripture: Colossians 2:2 "...that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ," Principle Thought: Explained the importance of being knit together as one body in perfect love where Christs dwells. Results: The body will be whole, and blameless; and this means the body will come to His fullness. Hallelujah! Illustration: Ten young girls were having a race, but shortly into the race one girl fell down. Two other girls stopped racing and went to her aid. All the other girls saw what happened and stopped racing so they could go back and help the one who had fallen. Each girl surrendered her opportunity for a personal prize because each wanted all to be able to run. They asked the judge to determine if all lost the race, or all won the race. The judge determined that all won the race, and the prize! Explanation: This is what our Lord Jesus would have us to be as a church. It is for this kind of unity, and purity in love that He laid down His life for us - for His church. Supporting Scripture: Ephesians 5:27 "...that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish." New Revealed Point: If God purposed for only one to be saved, the Bible would be sufficient to lead him there. But His plan is for the whole body of Christ to arrive there - His people, His church. For this He revealed to the apostle Paul the future mysteries for the body of Christ until we come into that perfection that He desires for us to have. This perfection comes about the following way:
Acts 20:28 "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood." Explanation: He stripped Himself of all His glory in order to come save and to deliver us so that we can share the prize of victory with Him! He stripped Himself of all His glory, shedding His own blood in order to wash us so that we could be spotless, even as He is spotless; and again... we share the prize of victory with Him!
Final Thoughts: Help the weak among you so that all may win the prize together in perfect unity with Christ.
Final Scriptures:"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." John 15:12-13 |
VILLAGE NEAR KAVALI
Facility: Christian Church Building of Pastor Paul Students Attending: 20 (plus other believers) Teacher: Pastor Paul Lesson Topic: Faithful Steward Principle Scripture: Luke 12:42-44 "And the Lord said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has." Theme Statement: A steward does not own what he is allowed to have charge over. The owner is the beneficiary of what is possessed. The steward is the trusted administrator of the owner’s possessions. Theme Thought: We do not own anything. Everything we have is for us to do as the Owner desires, for all things belong to God. Illustration: A steward in charge of a cloth shop does his best to sell the customer the cloth. When the customer buys the cloth, the money goes to the owner of the cloth and the shop, not to the steward. Explanation: In Christ’s work, a steward acts on behalf of God, the Master. The people are the beneficiaries, and the Master receives the glory. New Revealed Point: In Asian countries [and around the free-world] there is much evangelism, but very little spiritual maturity. The stewards of God's gifts are withholding much of what they have that is meant to mature the body of Christ. The stewards think they own the gifts God has given them. Because of this the body of Christ grows wide, but very shallow. The body of Christ suffers, and the name of Christ suffers. Because the body of Christ seems to grow wide, many think that is sufficient, but it is not. When trouble and trials come they will not remain strong, and many will fall away. God wants us to have fruit that remains. He wants a mature body and bride for Jesus. Supporting Scriptures: John 15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you." Ephesians 4:13 "...till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;" Strong Lesson Point: Even we do not own anything, so that everything may be used of God, our Master. He wants us to use everything we have for His purposes to make His body strong, and His name great in the world. This is how He wants us to build. |
